Frequently asked questions
What color tab is a size 13 battery?
Orange. The color code is the same across every manufacturer, so an orange tab always means size 13 whether the pack says Rayovac, Power One, Duracell or ZeniPower.
How long does a size 13 hearing aid battery last?
Usually six to fourteen days — roughly double a size 312 — because the cell is physically larger. Streaming audio for several hours a day will pull that towards the lower end of the range.
Can I use a size 13 battery instead of a 312?
No. The sizes are not interchangeable: a 13 is wider and thicker than a 312 and will not fit the battery door. Match the size printed on your old pack, or the tab color.
