Why do Unitron domes come in Phonak packaging?
Unitron and Phonak share the same parent company and the same receiver designs, so the dome is genuinely the same component. A pack labeled for Phonak and Unitron is the correct part.
Which dome system does my Unitron use?
SDS 4.0 domes fit slim-tube fittings and the original Smokey domes fit the earlier receiver design. Comparing against the dome currently on your aid is the most reliable check.
How often should Unitron domes be replaced?
Every one to three months. Replace sooner if the dome has hardened, discolored or split — a worn dome can work loose in the ear canal.
