Widex calls its domes ear tips, and the current range is EasyWear. Open tips leave the canal ventilated, while the tulip design uses two flexible petals to seal a little more without fully occluding the ear. Both attach to the same EasyWear receiver.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between open and tulip Widex tips?
An open tip is heavily vented, which keeps your own voice sounding natural and suits milder hearing loss. A tulip tip has two overlapping petals that seal more of the canal, giving more low-frequency output for a moderate loss.
How often should Widex ear tips be replaced?
Every one to three months. Replace a tip as soon as it is discolored, stiff or torn — a perished tip is more likely to detach from the receiver in the ear.
Are Widex tips the same as other brands' domes?
No. Widex EasyWear tips attach to a Widex receiver and are not compatible with Oticon, Phonak, ReSound or Signia receivers, even where the tips look similar.
